Friends of Our Chalet Week

 

 

 

 

 

Friends of Our Chalet Week has begun, and adult friends and supporters are enjoying an activity week high up, high on the mountain.

Event participants have joined us from Canada, Denmark, Finland, United Kingdom and United States of America.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A hike to the local woodcarvers and Adelboden village are on the schedule, and also excursion days to nearby towns and attractions: Kandersteg, Interlaken, Thun and Ballenberg.

They will go home with more friends and fond memories of Our Chalet.

From my experience at Our Chalet I learnt what 'nice' people Guiding and Scouting produces.

The best thing was being with others and conversations. Staff was the best! Always friendly and very helpful. Smiles were terrific! I really enjoyed every minute of every day.

The session on Helen Storrow was awesome, so was the cooking and orienteering. The brochures do not do it justice: a hands on experience is so much more rewarding. The best thing was the sharing and caring of all staff and friends.

Everything was wonderful. How wonderful for so many women from so many places to come together as sister Scouts and Guides.

I found peace in the midst of so many activities. The best thing was the fabulous staff and location.

The best thing was the scenery and hiking in the mountains, day trips and friendship with sisters from other countries.

The best thing about Our Chalet for me was the fun, friendship made and support given and received. The great staff! I would love to return in the future.

 

 

 

 

The best thing was meeting old friends, appreciating the traditions and challenging myself.

The best thing about Our Chalet for me was the friendly staff.  No matter what you would ask, they had positive replies with a smile. Incredible. Staff was outstanding in their responsibility to keep track of everyone...

I have learnt that Swiss are overly fond of cheese! The scenery is beautiful, I want to come back in winter.

From my experience at Our Chalet I learnt why everyone loves the Chalet. I have known the needs and admired the people who raised the money, now I see the results. I am so excited about what WAGGGS is doing and glad to be a part of it!
